Help Yogita Get Justice For Rape Survivors And Their Families

Yogita Bhayana quit a successful career to pursue her passion for social development and justice in 2007. She spearheaded the protest to fight for justice for the horrific Nirbhaya case in 2012 and continues to do so for many more rape survivors and their families.

We are a youth-led Not-for-Profit Organization advocating against sexual violence, providing prevention mechanisms, and supporting survivors with psychosocial services. We advocate for rape survivors who can’t speak about their ordeal due to stigmatization, by enlightening our community on the need to end rape and victim-blaming. We use various platforms to educate people and also engage in interactive sessions via social media. We are working towards the day when rape is part of history, rather than a part of our everyday lives.

How our organisation is helping?

We have solved 70 + assault and rape cases and helped the victim to get justice. Sexual violence is a significant factor affecting the physical, psychological, and emotional well-being of Lowcountry’s youth. One in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18. In light of these staggering statistics, PARI is launching the use of a comprehensive, practice-based dating and sexual assault primary prevention curriculum to address the causes of sexual violence.

To end all forms of rape and to provide education and reverse thinking actions that contribute to rape. To provide psychosocial services and support to survivors of rape.

Utilization of funds –

Currently, we are supporting more than 20 rape Survivors, we need constant funds for their rehabilitation, education and therapies, and legal cases.

Funds will be utilised to look after the Cases we get for domestic violence, Rape victims, assault, molestation, and upbringing of a victim through legal help, or by a therapist. To look after the victim’s family Transportation while case hearing, advocates charges. Counseling session to someone deprived of anxiety or depression.

We need to support them for education, rehabilitation, court battles. I’ve realised I can’t do this all alone, because we have so many cases, of little children. Day and night we get new cases! We need more support!

So far I’ve been doing the work with my own resources and my friends’ support. We’ve done a lot of work, but there is so much more we haven’t been able to do because of lack of funds.

Help us get justice for rape survivors and their families and put an end to sexual violence
